Japan Society for Digital Archive
In order to build a digital knowledge base in Japan in the 21st century, the Society will exchange and share the experiences and technologies of stakeholders involved in digital archiving, aim for further development, foster human resources, promote technical research, We will work on standardization including that of metadata.
In addition to supporting the collaboration between the government and local governments, citizens and companies, the construction of public digital archives that form the foundation of open science, and the construction of local digital archives, it will investigate what kind of legal system will be most pertinent for the digital knowledge-based society, in order to accomplish the above initiatives.
We will work on these tasks while connecting related academic societies and researchers working on digital archives and forming a common understanding.
